Anna Biriulina, cinéaste, artiste et chercheuse d’origine russe-tatare, est née et a grandi à Tomsk, en Sibérie. Elle a suivi des études en sciences politiques et en réalisation de films documentaires à l’université d’État de Saint-Pétersbourg. Fascinée par la fusion des techniques documentaires et de l’art numérique, elle a poursuivi sa formation au Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains. Elle y a entamé une thèse de doctorat explorant la réalité virtuelle en tant que support artistique. Anna travaille et réside actuellement à Roubaix.
